Alison Karlene Hodgins

I'm a staff writer, online editor and community manager for explore magazine. I hold a Writing and Publishing Diploma from Okanagan College, a Bachelor of Journalism from Thompson Rivers University and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction from the University of King's College. You can find me on the top of a mountain, reading travel literature on the beach or sipping a coffee in a quirky cafe, especially if there's live music playing. I'm passionate about ethical tourism, outdoor adventure and learning to appreciate your own backyard. But I'm still a sucker for international travel—I've already explored over 35 different countries and plan to see as much of the world as possible.
