oat milkINSTRUCTIONS

  1. Add the water, oats and optional ingredients into a blender.
  2. At high speed for 20 to 30 seconds, blend together. Do not over blend as it will get slimy.
  3. Over a large bowl, place a clean, finely woven tea towel, then slowly pour in half of the mixture (it’s easier to do in batches).
  4. Gently squeeze out the milktoo hard and you’ll get the oat sediment coming though. Repeat with the second half of the blended mix.
  5. Optionally, once the milk has all been removed, you can do a second pass through another tea towel to remove any sediment that made it through.
  6. Transfer to your desired containers, and place in the fridge to cool and enjoy.
  7. Make sure to shake before consuming as it may separate a bit.
  8. Your oat milk should last a few days in the fridge, possibly up to a week (give it a smell to confirm).
