16 Species At Risk From The Gulf Oil Spill

The BP Gulf Oil Spill Crisis is one of the most destructive man made environmental disasters ever.  Eleven lives were lost in the initial oil rig explosion.  BP has now taken its place next to the Enron’s and other corporate scoundrel’s for its gross negligence.  Long after the headlines from this disaster fade, the lives of the residents of the Gulf Coast will continue to be affected.  While this disaster has already had negative health and financial consequences for people living on the coast, it poses an even more extreme danger to local wildlife.  For wildlife, how we respond to this crisis literally means life or death.

Below are just a few of the species affected by this spill.
